Symbiosis Ray: WUaS and Khan Academy collaboration for online, International Baccalaureate diplomas?, WUaS / Khan I.B. high school diplomas together, starting with, after English, the United Nations' languages, and then go beyond that?, Radio interview about Sal Khan's "The One World Schoolhouse: Education Reimagined"

Hi, M,

Thanks in advance for your gift of Sal Khan's "The One World Schoolhouse: Education Reimagined" (Twelve Press: 2012). I look forward to reading it.

Here's a radio interview about it from October 2, 2012 -
https://www.khanacademy.org/talks-and-interviews/v/sal-on-airtalk-talking-about-his-new-book.

After reading it, I may email him a second time (after around 1 1/2 years with no reply) to inquire about collaboration. Could World University and School (which is like Wikipedia with MIT OCW, and planned for all 7,413 languages and 204+ countries, with online, university degrees, as well as an I.B. diploma, as I think you know) and Khan Academy team up to create online, MIT OCW High School-centric, Creative Commons' licensed, International Baccalaureate, high school diplomas together, starting with, after English, the United Nations' languages, and then go into some languages beyond this?

Here's WUaS's International Baccalaureate Diploma and Programme page -
http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/WUaS_International_Baccalaureate_Diploma_and_Programme.

WUaS is going to communicate with university accreditors this week again, in seeking undergraduate applicants this autumn 2013, to matriculate online at MIT-centric WUaS in the autumn of 2014.

I look forward to Sal's book. Thanks again.

Love,
Scott

P.S. It looks like Khan Academy has 36 employees these days, from the radio interview.

WUaS would love to build a MIT OCW High School-centric and Khan Academy video I.B. high school, {and even together with San Francisco Friends' Meeting and College Park Quarterly Meeting}.

What's great about Khan Academy, also, is that they're measuring and thinking actively about how to measure online learning, in addition to re-imagining education pragmatically. (How might WUaS extend such metrics to WUaS's bachelor, Ph.D., law and M.D. degrees, in addition to the I.B.?)

WUaS plans to become the ocean, as wiki, for so many good, open and free academies, ideas and projects, like Sal Khan's.
