Thanks, Juan ... I added this great article - "Learn Chinese online: 36 excellent free resources" ... http://www.saporedicina.com/english/learn-chinese-online-25-excellent-free-resources/ - to the Mandarin (Chinese) World University and School, planned to become an extensive, online MIT OCW-centric online university, and in Mandarin Chinese!

This Mandarin language (Chinese) language, wiki, subject page at WUaS - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Mandarin_language_(Chinese) - will be an online university in Mandarin, paralleling the other United Nations' languages', wiki, subject pages, which will become MIT OCW-centric, WUaS universities, also in those languages:

Arabic language -
http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Arabic_language -

English language -
http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/English_language -

French language -

Mandarin language (Chinese) -

Russian language -
http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Russian_language -

Spanish language -

This article doesn't appear to have any Wu language (Chinese) resources, for which there is already a beginning Wu language (Chinese) World University and School -  http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Wu_language_(Chinese) - which will also become an extensive online, MIT OCW-centric university.

All these beginning universities are accessible from the main, Languages' wiki page at World University and School - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Languages - each a major, MIT OCW-centric World University and School in the making. Red fox: How to grow World University and School? ... Derek Sivers: How to start a movement ~ Do so Passionately - While blogging almost everyday about World University and School for more than 5 years, and now in two blogs, in the information age, and on the Internet, is a form or quality of passion - defined as "strong and barely controllable emotion" (Apple 2.x dictionary) I hope I can learn a kind of Jimmy Wales-like informed passion, which has given rise to Wikipedia in all 287 languages, and with its new Wikidata interlingual database, How to develop specific kinds of passion (Musical, Inspiring, Friendly, NtF) ... watch the video :)

(watch only the first 3:10 minutes, since an ad begins after this)

How to Start a Movement -
http://thefbooksite.com/2014/02/03/how-to-start-a-movement/

From this article:

"The formula can be condensed into this:

  • You can’t be successful unless you are ON FIRE for your cause.
  • Passion drives performance. Feel your cause and let it move you to action.
  • Passion is contagious. Mentor others through your actions, words are a dime a dozen.
  • Have patience. Passion hears ‘no’ as Not Now.
  • Develop and deepen your faith. Trust that what you believe in will have followers. Somewhere. Sometime. If one person believes it, there ARE others.
  • Embrace your early followers and empower them to own the passion and the cause. Leadership means stepping aside to enable the growing fire to burn freely.
  • Celebrate small victories. New followers are like gold, treat them to a joyous celebration.
  • Think allow, not how. Once the fire burns, controlling it can consume you. Know that your passion has ignited a cause and it’s ultimate outcome is driven by your tribe of similarly passionate people.
  • Most importantly, be brave.

A world driven by passion is a world on fire for change."

Still looking for ways to grow WUaS significantly ...

Here are a possibly very relevant set of ideas I came across today in the LinkedIn social networking site from a fundraising group mailing -
http://thefbooksite.com/2014/02/03/how-to-start-a-movement/ ...

I like the video especially ...

it's only actually 3 minutes long, and I posted this video a few years ago to my blog here, as a great (and positive) example of a meme (replicating, cultural unit, as a first definition only). ...

Dancing is contagious and infectious :)

Beach Sheoak - casuarina equisetifolia: Different Societies to adopt specific WUaS, wiki, subject pages, - that are becoming schools? For example, the Nontheist Friends' (atheist Quakers?) wiki subject page at WUaS, an open school in the making, might be flourishingly adopted by the Nontheist Friends' group, Similarly the MIT OCW-centric, Chemistry, wiki, subject page might readily be adopted, for example by American Chemical Society, which has a significant education focus, ... even as WUaS seeks to develop further collaboration with MIT, especially as WUaS grows into all 7,105 languages and 242 countries, Similarly with Physics, Biology, Mathematics, plus ...

It would be great if different societies could adopt specific WUaS, wiki, subject pages, that are becoming schools ...

For example, the Nontheist Friends' (atheist Quakers?) wiki subject page at WUaS, an open school in the making, -

http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Nontheist_Friends_(atheist_Quakers%3F)

- might be flourishingly adopted by the Nontheist Friends' group website ...

http://www.nontheistfriends.org/

... which communication takes place much in email these days ...

Similarly the MIT OCW-centric, Chemistry, wiki, subject page ...

Chemistry World University and School Links -

... might readily be adopted, for example by American Chemical Society, which has a significant education focus ...

... even as WUaS seeks to develop further collaboration with MIT, especially as WUaS grows into all 7,105 languages and 242 countries.

... similarly with Physics, Biology, Mathematics ... such societies are ofter very well organized and have great resources, - especially intellectually.

*

How to organize toward this with almost no financial or infrastructural resources?
