Western Prairie Fringed Orchid: flourishingly generate caring and love? ... as neurophysiology, Harbin warm pool and Quaker Meeting, By neurophysiology I have something a little different in mind than the science of neurobiology, Languages and neurophysiology

Hi Donald,

You mentioned neurophysiology on Sunday at Meeting and some thoughts about this have come to mind ... curious about your thoughts about this too ...

Neurophysiology of the Harbin warm pool and of Meeting have many parallels for me ... as kinds of releasing actions or centerings, and biologically as I see this ... I almost always feel transformed neurophysiogically somehow while at Harbin and upon leaving ... this is far-reaching neurophysiology and also kind of wondrous naturally.

(My mother too when I was little I'd say generated/communicated far-reaching neurophysiology of care and love ... as biology with me, her first son, - everyone having our own unique neurophysiologies. This is a powerful neurophysiology for me which might inform a future friendship with a partner - a pair bond and a troopbond in John Money's senses
{http://scottmacleod.com/JohnMoneyConceptsOfDeterminism.html} - I hope, and which I also hope might influence even having kids (anticipating too thinking via conversation about their careers plus), as well as conceiving in general about flourishingly generating caring and love ... as neurophysiology.

How to access/elicit or generate these neurophysiologies whenever, and at different times of our lives and in different contexts?

By neurophysiology, I have something a little different in mind than the science of neurobiology see, for example ... http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Neurophysiology and http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/neurophysiology - and see, by contrast, also - Neurobiology at WUaS - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Neurobiology.

And how to generate these positive bodymind brain chemistries such as loving bliss neurophysiologies - Loving Bliss (eliciting this neurophysiology)  http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Loving_Bliss_(eliciting_this_neurophysiology) and Caring and Loving ... http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Caring_and_Loving - for others if possible ... and perhaps too via music.

How Quaker Meeting and Harbin differ biologically and culturally ... appreciating the pragmatic idealism of F/friendly caring history,  process and language ... and appreciating the 60s' informed, clothing optional, warm water-informed alternative vision or milieu of Harbin ... all as neurophysiologies  ...

Yet Friends schools can seem to create milieus that flourishingly generate caring and love ... as neurophysiology for high schoolers (I'm thinking here in particular) ...

I'd hazard we have Agency, as intentional causation - for all of this - regardless of milieu. I'm not sure how to meditate / sit in QMeeting into 9 hours a day of this blissful love-care-joy neurophysiology however. But I'm curious. You?

Too much critical thinking about bliss? ... or ongoing avenues in, I think ...

I hope such explorations, almost as kinds of Quaker Meeting, might occur in virtual worlds like a virtual Harbin, and from our bathtubs, and with the music we love (which takes us "there" to neural cascades of pleasure, or radiant flowering flourishing brain bodymind chemistry neurophysiology), for one, in the now as a kind of on-off switch (sit in Meeting or in the Harbin warm pool neurophysiologies) ... - or I hope such explorations realistically continue haltingly via music-making and bliss generation with SCD (Scottish Country Dancing) Open Band, for example ... wherein otherwise the way opening to this is quite gradual.

Friendly regards, Scott

*

P.S. As an afterthought, how this focus on neurophysiology of care and love finds its way into language, can be communicated about with language, and even generated thereby is a pragmatic way "in" to eliciting such neurophysiology.

Antiaris: Reed College and and WUaS as a Strategic Partnership?, WUaS would like to hire Reedies to help develop main WUaS wiki subject pages, and for matriculating WUaS students eventually, as well as possibly teach WUaS's Hum 101 in Google group video Hangouts in conjunction with faculty lecturers in video, for example, among many other jobs, WUaS would like to become a major academic employer worldwide, and become the Harvard of the internet in all 200+ countries and their main languages, as well as create online wiki schools for open teaching and learning in all 8,000+ languages, Could WUaS eventually HIRE 500,000 smart 19 year olds in all 8000 languages?

Mike B, Vice President and Dean of Student Services, Interim Director for the Center for Life Beyond Reed

Brooke H, Assistant Director for Strategic Partnerships
http://www.reed.edu/beyond-reed/contact-us/index.html

Dear Mike B and Brooke H,

Greetings from the San Francisco Bay Area where I just participated in a Reed College Alumni work morning at MLK park in Oakland. I graduated in 1985 from Reed and am developing startup online wiki CC World University and School, which is like CC Wikipedia with best STEM OpenCourseWare (e.g. CC MIT OCW in 7 languages and CC Yale OYC), and planning accrediting online university degrees and IB high school diplomas in most countries and in their main languages. I've had an hour interview with former President Colin Diver about WUaS in his office in Eliot Hall a few years ago, have communicated about this with President John Kroger, and I know KA from Reed in the early 1980s. Reed College Professor of Dance CM is also a friend and former housemate in a Reed House from the early 1980s.

I'm emailing to inquire about the possibility of a strategic partnership with Reed in WUaS hiring Reed College students remotely as interns to grow and develop WUaS. WUaS would like to hire Reedies to help develop main World University and School wiki subject pages - e.g. http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Subjects - and for matriculating WUaS students eventually, as well as possibly teach World University and School's Hum 101 in Google group video Hangouts in conjunction with faculty lecturers in video, for example, among many other jobs.  WUaS would like to become a major academic employer worldwide, and become the Harvard of the internet in each of all 200+ countries and their main languages, as well as create online wiki schools for open teaching and learning in all 8,000+ languages.

Might we possibly please talk about this further on the telephone? How else would you suggest we might proceed with this conversation? I'm planning too to attend Reed Reunions from June 10-June 14, when we might also talk in person.

Thank you.

All the best,
Scott

Scott MacLeod to Everyone:

Here's the Cooperatives wiki subject page at WUaS ...

(And here's the Entrepreneurship wiki school with many MIT OCW at World University - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Entrepreneurship - which is cross-linked with the cooperatives page -accessible here - http://worlduniversityandschool.org/ ...)

Here too is the main Languages (planned for ALL) wiki page where the languages you mentioned, And - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Languages (Basque page isn't yet begun, and Spanish and Mandarin are yet really in those languages)

Hi And, Jua and Hal,

Thanks. This last week has been a bit crazy here too.

I have 4 possible collaboration ideas for Mondragon University's Team Academy (MUTA) - http://mondragonteamacademy.com/?lang=en - and World University and School (WUaS) collaborations, and am curious to learn how MUTA collaborates with other universities as well.

a)
Collaborate in a WUaS undergraduate entrepreneurial major engaging MUTA processes online, and planning first for English and the UN languages in those languages, and eventually in large languages and in Basque (Euskara https://eu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euskara), engaging MIT OpenCourseWare too - which is already in English, Spanish and Mandarin of the UN languages - http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/translated-courses/ -

Admissions at World University and School -

with students applying this autumn 2015 and matriculating online in English first in autumn 2016 for a 4 year Creative Commons' licensed degree.

b)
Develop a wiki Basque language and Basque country World University and School, in the Basque language, for open teaching and learning, and possibly for Ph.D.s, Law, and MD degrees, and other degrees. Here are beginnings of this in English, with much MIT OCW and Yale OYC:

Basque language World University and School -

Basque language World University and School -

And again here's the Euskara (Basque language) Wikipedia -

c)
Explore creating Basque speaking internships for focusing this online university / school with a TA entrepreneurial focus, and aggregating, for example, academic research for open teaching and learning about Basque country, e.g.

and also create a kind of online Basque "CITY" with this online Basque WUaS.

d)
explore doing much of this in the context of this WUaS ISSIP grand challenge -

How does Team Academy and MUTA collaborate with other universities?

Jua and Hal might be able to help develop related and parallel MIT OCW-centric WUaS wiki projects in Spanish and in Turkish.

Thank you, and thanks for very interesting ISSIP presentations as well.

Best, Scott

Dear Scott,

I am trying to sort my academic e-mails from my personal ones. And I have a question and a request:

(1) The question, is why do you send e-mail to some people and copy all the group (including me)
(2) The request is can you change my e-mail here and use the Berkeley email.

Thank You
Amir

*

Hi Ami,

Thanks for your email and questions.

a) I try to keep Universitians (on the sporadic email list) in the loop by sending some BCC emails. In this case And in Basque country in Spain is interested in exploring collaborating and from 2 ISSIP talks he gave. Jua and Hal were also involved in this communication and speak native Spanish and Turkish. All of this could lead to the development of CC WUaS's in those languages and countries.

Since you know Arabic and are from Egypt, and are on this sporadic email list (and on the monthly one too) you could conceivably develop Arabic WUaS and Egypt WUaS in a parallel process to And and possibly Jua and Hal. And too shared about an innovative Mondragon University (in Basque country) Team Academy (from Finland) entrepreneurial program in his presentations, where students set up cooperative businesses - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Cooperatives. This could help Egyptians in Arabic too.

b) I've changed your email address on both lists to your Cal Berkeley email.

Cheers,
Scott

Cooperatives are generally owned by their workers, who vote, and which legal structures, country to country, are typically very egalitarian. WUaS hopes to help create especially Information Technology online cooperatives.

Hi And, Hal, Ya, An and Jua,

Thanks for your emails. In addition to Ya, I'm adding An to this email as well, since as a Finn, he might be able to develop and grow wiki Finland World University and School - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Finland - in Finnish, and in terms of a Team Academy Cooperatives' Companies-generation approach. Shall we possibly talk directly after this Wednesday's video conference, say around 8:15 am Pacific Time (when An's talk will likely be over at 8 am PT) - video conference technology to be determined?

In terms of a possible "Cooperative Company-Starting Entrepreneurialism" undergraduate major at World University and School, some sort of very well thought out OpenCourseWare could be invaluable (possibly 14 courses in one way or another?), and also dovetailing with this MIT OCW Sloan School of Business -
http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/sloan-school-of-management/ - since WUaS would like to get ranked publicly with MIT and Yale, for example, and in all 200+ countries in their main languages, where we also hope to accredit. (By way of a great OpenCourseWare example, I'm enjoying a lot Harvard Law Professor Charlie Nesson's JuryX / HarvardX / edX course - http://juryx.net/ - I'm taking now, - and it's very well conceived - and IT-wise too).

Hal, while here's the beginning Turkey World University and School, not yet in Turkish -
http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Turkey - with MIT OCW in Turkish! here -
http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/translated-courses/turkish/ - an honorarium to help find further resources and in particular for a Team Academy approach to developing a "Cooperative Company-Starting Entrepreneurialism" undergraduate major at WUaS, as I see it, would be invaluable. Ya?

And Jua, since you live in Spain, here's the beginning Spain World University and School, neither yet accrediting, nor too much in Spanish - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Spain - but, like MIT OCW in Turkish there do appear to be many Spanish MIT OCW courses here - http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/translated-courses/spanish/.

Accreditation and OpenCourseWare and matriculating online high achieving high school/undergraduate students at CC WUaS in many languages will become central to this process with time. (WUaS is also planning Ph.D. Law and MD degrees at the University level in large languages and their countries).

See you tomorrow in A's ISSIP talk,
Scott
