ABOUT ME

I live fairly close to Berkeley. I've just written a 550 page anthropological book about a place in northern California, and am developing an online free CC university (which is accrediting on CC MIT OpenCourseWare in 7 languages and CC Yale OYC) and is also a wiki (like CC Wikipedia in ~300 languages). I like to travel and meet people! You can read more about my book here -http://www.scottmacleod.com/ActualVirtualHarbinBook.html - as well as my interests and research on my homepage - http://www.scottmacleod.com.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my favorite way to travel and visit people and places! There is nothing better, more fun and interesting than being a guest in a local resident’s home, for instance – in Paris. And this way of great value accommodation can be practiced everywhere – in Europe as well as Asia, America, and island nations. I want to feel the real atmosphere of places I visit!

Interests

Online highest quality free education (http://worlduniversityandschool.org), music (I play the Scottish Small Pipes - http://scottmacleod.com/piping.htm), studying the Internet (http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/search/label/ethno-wiki-virtual-world-graphy) and anthropology and languages.
