Coast: thoughts about "liking" ... "liking" as brain information technology (or I.T.) - and re my blog post from Jan 1 (http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2017/01/pollination-new-online-california.html) is interesting to think about ... how to make this "liking" brain information technology with friends warm and fluent, like I've experienced in the past?, information technology of the G language (since I know it) re learning, "Liking" as accessible neurophysiology via consciousness is also an interesting question, Singing - metaphorically harmonizing with sopranos, altos, tenors and basis - as information technology to generate liking explicitly?, As I.T. could one generate "liking" in new ways over the internet (if "liking" is one of the best experiences there is)? Have fun singing, Some related World University wiki subjects - Information_Technology, Singing, Neurophysiology, Loving_Bliss_(eliciting_this_neurophysiology), Brainwave headsets for studying Scottish Country Dancing brain chemistry and happiness?

Hi M,

Some further thoughts about "liking" ...

"liking" as brain information technology (or I.T.) - and re my blog post from Jan 1 (http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2017/01/pollination-new-online-california.html) is interesting to think about ...

how to make this "liking" brain information technology with friends warm and fluent, like I've experienced in the past? ... just do it (D might say too), that is, just like people in choir, for example

I find the information technology of the G language (since I know it) - am in a group video Hangout regularly - something I learn from and re "liking" too ... and the language and roles of man and woman are old there (even with recent developments) .... and slightly different from the U.S. in their tradition, having really liked a girlfriend from G of mine (and a Quaker:)

"liking" as accessible neurophysiology via consciousness is also an interesting question ... (even the on-off switch for this)

Singing - metaphorically harmonizing with sopranos, altos, tenors and basis - as information technology to generate liking explicitly?

As I.T. could one generate "liking" in new ways over the internet (if "liking" is one of the best experiences there is)? (And I mean "liking" here in thoughtful, considerate, understanding, reciprocating and caring ways).

Have fun singing at choir!

L,
Scott

After Scottish Country Dance in Berkeley today, in preparation for the Valentine's Day ball (at the Scottish Rite Center in Oakland this year), I asked a friend from Belgium, who is studying for her chemistry Ph.D. at Cal Berkeley, what chemistry she thought occurred with the delight and happiness from dancing Scottish CD. Oxytocins, serotonin, dopamine, endorphins, etc. I suggested and she assented - and what was the further chemistry of such? I asked further how I might get at studying this chemistry with brain wave headsets - which, of the ones I'm familiar with in their infancy, allow a user without words or gestures a) to rotate a digital cube, move it far and close and make it disappear, and b) to choose letters from an alphabet to spell words, but one has to be able to relax oneself deeply. What inferences could one make about this brain chemistry itself using the brain wave headsets by a) Tan Le, as well as b) Andrew Junker's Brainfingers.com if I developed these further over the next few years and then asked dancers to wear them while dancing (we could design them to look like Tams!) and then began to study SCD such that what we learned would allow us to extend, enhance and heighten these happiness experiences? Could I go to her laboratory and hack on this?
