World University's open monthly business meeting on April 8 2017: & ...

There are no changes in WUaS's March 2017 financial report, compared with the one from February 2017.

News and Agenda

Good news:

MediaWiki, the source of the "front end" for Wikipedia, and which World University and School plans to develop in again (having donated WUaS to Wikidata in October 2015), now has a head - Tim Starling (reporting to Victoria Coleman, CTO for the Wikimedia Foundation) - and a team focusing its developments. This may mean WUaS can begin to develop in Wikidata/Wikibase (Wikipedia's databases) in their 358 languages sooner than later. WUaS was functioning in MediaWiki (but not in Wikidata at the time) from January to March 2016, and then stopped working - for unknown reasons.

Wikidata is also beginning to develop "Languages in Wikidata4Wiktionary." See - This may make possible new approaches to machine translation.

WUaS also has our first prospective matriculating student, T.S., beginning this autumn, (and possibly one other student). She has 2 AA degrees, so she should be able to finish an online free CC OCW undergraduate degree within one year, which may help WUaS to become fully accredited also within a year.

And now, too, WUaS will offer 6 undergraduate majors - Computer Science, General Science, Engineering, History, English and Business ( - beginning this autumn. WUaS is also, in a beginning way, in MIT OCW's 7 languages, as you'll see in this WUaS Course Catalog.

WUaS is continuing to seek best ways to write the legal paperwork for our for-profit wing - planned in ~200 countries' official languages, and in 7,943 languages re planned wiki schools - and begin to grow this as well.

Thank you for joining the World University and School team. WUaS invites you to participate in our open, hour-long, monthly, business meeting on Saturday, April 8th, beginning at 9 a.m., Pacific Time / 12 noon ET

I'd like to invite you to WUaS's monthly business meeting this SaturdayApril 8th at 9am PT (2nd Saturdays of the month, hour-long and electronically mediated) if you'd like to learn further how WUaS makes decisions, plans and works, and participate in this process.

For people on the sporadic, somewhat frequent, WUaS, email list, or who wish to be, WUaS is posting actively to both the WUaS Google Group (, and the WUaS Yahoo Group (, both of which allow for daily and weekly digests. Please join these groups for daily and weekly digests.

Concerning this WUaS team email list, we'll generally send out business meeting emails twice a month. If you'd like to receive more frequent, sporadic, WUaS emails, please reply to this email telling me so. If you could, please REPLY with UNSUBSCRIBE, or an alternative email address, if you wish NOT to receive WUaS's emails, or receive them in a different email account, - and WUaS would be very grateful.

World University and School is planning to become the MIT / Harvard / Yale / Stanford / Oxbridge of the Internet, and in all 7,097+ known living languages and ~200+ nation states/countries/territories, with online, Creative Commons' licensed MIT OCW-centric university degrees Bachelor - Ph.D., law and M.D., (as well as I.B. diplomas) - in large languages.

Free, Creative Commons' licensed, online, wiki WUaS, like Wikipedia with MIT OCW, is planned for all 3,000-8,000 languages and for around 204 countries, with free degrees accrediting on C.C. MIT OpenCourseWare in 7 languages and C.C. Yale OYC+, - and will help many, many people.
